Hi. I can never seem to get a straight answer about TV resolution from the sales guys in the stores, so I hope someone can simplify this for me.

I have lots of DVDs. I don't plan on buying a blue-ray movies - I see nothing wrong with DVD movies. I will watch lots of TV also - whatever format the TV signal comes from my cable box.

Which resolution do I need or features etc. I see all this 720i, 720p. 1080i, 1080-p, up convert, down convert, this that and the other thing.

I just want to watch tv with as good a view that I have on my tube tv now. Every person's new plasma/lcd tv that I see in their home always has a very pixelated view and it looks horrible. Thanks.

Open Question: How can I clean/clear out everything on my computer back to its 'Original' State? Like 'Br

There is so much crap on my computer, and unfortunately for my family, they're usually the ones who'll download anything and open anything, and I find them completely at fault.

So now it's at this state where it continues to crash dump, the internet is super slow, icons disappear, my mom's credit card info got hacked, there are about a million add-ons that are apparantly slowing down the computer, lack of memory, lack of disk space, a Bad_Pool_Caller (??); things that have taken their toll on our Dell.

Now that they're filled in on what 'not' to do (no more opening attachments from unknowns), they're going to be a lot wiser.

However, the family computer is now at this barely manageable state.

So we're just going to wipe the slate completely clean and start with a completely new surface; there's so much wrong with it that we'd rather just get rid of it all and start over (back to it's originial state. Meaning, like we just got it from the store and, as another guy called it 'straight from box").

How do I go about doing that?

We don't have anything important stored, so all the information we have saved is just collateral.

I'm not computer saavy, so a Step-By-Step is preferred.

There are CD's that came with the Dell, and someone mentioned you need to do something or something else (I really have no idea!!) with them to do the job, but there are quite a few. And a lot of people suggested I not do anything unless I had the right CD's. Are these CD's the 'right CD's to get my system back to the 'brand new' way?:

1.) Reinstallation DVD (Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit) (Black)
2.) Reinstallation CD (Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (Purple)
3.) For reinstalling CyberLink PowerDVD 5.31012 Software (Blue)
4.) DVD for Reinstalling Dell Dimension and Dell XPS Comp. Software
5.) Dell E177Fp LCD Monitor (Blue)
6.) For reinstalling V.9X (Capapble) 56K Data/Fax (Modem Software for Microsoft Windows) (Blue)
7.) A few Microsoft Works Suite 2006 CD's (Microsoft Word, etc.)
8.) A REALLY shiny Copper-y Microsoft Office Professional Edition CD
7.) A bunch of 'Dell Photo All-in-One Printer' CD's (all blue)

Are ANY of these important? Do any of these actually do what I need to do? Did I just waste my time by typing up this tiny list?

Thanks to anyone who can lend a hand; I suck at computers and can appreciate anyone taking the time to read all of this.

I watched Batman Begins last night, thought it was pretty good apart from the lack of action scenes and it did drag a little but I let that slide since it was how "Batman Began".

So tonight I have a 6 pack of booze, a weeks worth of sugar, 2 burgers, and a pack of cigs. Now i'm about to turn on the supposedly 3rd greatest movie ever(according to imdb) on my 50 inch plasma.

Am I in for a treat?

I want to know if you can effectively over clock you lcd screen to push it to a higher resolution. I’m using my lcd (1280 x 1024) for my xbox 360 and its really good but if I could just push it up the the next level (1920 x 1080) or (1360 x 768) it would be amazing. Is there any way to do this or is it just wishful thinking. Thanx for any advise or help.

TV switches from color to b/w intermittently. I tried changing cables, changing the configuration etc. but it keeps happening. Seems to be staying b/w for longer now before switching back to color. Any ideas? Thanks. Also, I called Olevia tech support. They said if I press MENU and the wheel is in color, it's not the TV and they can't help me. They told me to ask "someone who knows about" hooking up TVs.
